You’ve heard you can build custom software with AI. If you’re curious about giving it a try, a quiz is a great place to start: a self-contained project, an afternoon, and huzzah, you've got a quiz live on your site.
And not just any quiz. You get to decide exactly how it looks. The colors, the layout, the buttons, the way the results appear. Want the answers displayed as cards? Done. Prefer a different font or more room between the questions? Ask and ye shall receive. You get to customize all of it, no hunting through settings or fighting against a pre-made template.
You’ll have me there with you, too, guiding you through the build and answering questions along the way. There’s room to experiment, to try something fun, and if something goes a little wonky, we’ll work through it together. Because yeah, “Um, what did I just do?” is a perfectly acceptable question.

When you sign up, you’ll get guidance for preparing your quiz questions and results. Having those ready means you can spend the workshop working on the build. You’re welcome to use ChatGPT or Claude to help write them. A rough draft is fine.

We’ll work from a starter kit and use Claude Code to add your content and change how your quiz looks. You’ll describe what you want, see the changes, and try again if something needs adjusting. I’ll be there to help when you get stuck.

We’ll get your quiz live on your website and connect it to your email platform if you want to collect addresses. (And don't worry, you can keep tweaking your quiz after the workshop, so you don’t have to get every detail exactly how you want it on the day.)

We'll use Claude Code for the build, which is included in a paid Claude account. If you already pay for ChatGPT and would rather stay there, that works too (see the FAQ below). Otherwise, a paid Claude subscription is the only additional software you'll need for the workshop. (And if cash flow is tight, you can go back to the free tier once you're happy with your quiz.)

We embed the quiz in your existing website. Most modern website builders support embedding. If you’re unsure whether it’ll work with your setup, get in touch before signing up and tell me what you use. I’m happy to help you check.

The other tools we’ll use have free tiers, including the hosting for your quiz. You can keep your quiz online indefinitely without paying a monthly hosting fee.

You'll also need an email marketing platform, such as Kit, Flodesk, or Mailchimp. If you already have one, you're already all set! Collecting email addresses is optional though, so you can skip this part if it isn't something you need.
I’m the person behind Vibe Code Curious, and I love that building custom tools is now accessible to those of us who don’t know how to code. It used to be that you had to contort yourself to fit somebody else’s software. But now, that tool you wish existed, that fits how you actually work? You can build it. Good enough doesn’t have to be good enough anymore.
I’ll be your guide for this build-along, explaining things as we go and making plenty of room for questions. (Yes, even the "dumb" one you're a little embarrassed to ask.) And if you’re feeling nervous about any of this, I’ve got confidence to spare. You’re welcome to borrow some of mine.
What's included
We’ll build in stages over two hours on Zoom. I’ll introduce each step with a short demo, then give you time to work on your quiz. We’ll come back together to work through questions before moving on to the next part. It's basically "paint and sip night" but in the afternoon. With a custom-built quiz at the end instead of a really bad painting.
You’ll get the complete Quiz Build Kit, with a ready-to-customize quiz and instructions for working through the build at your own pace. It unlocks in your library when the workshop starts, and you can refer back to it whenever you want to keep working on your quiz.

Absolutely not! Claude Code does all the actual coding. Being comfortable with everyday computer tasks and chatting with AI will help, though. And remember, you can ask questions (of me or Claude!) if something doesn’t make sense.
Nope! The build doesn’t rely on anything that only Claude can do. I’ve tested it in ChatGPT and it works there too.
I’ll be demonstrating with Claude Code, though, because that’s what I use and can help you with, and the Quiz Build Kit instructions are written for it. If you want your screen to match mine, go with Claude Code. If you’d rather stick with ChatGPT, that’s fine too. You’ll just need to work out a few setup steps on your own, like where to open your folder and where the buttons are.
Anything you want! Most quizzes are designed to be lead magnets, but you can use yours to add a knowledge check to a course, as a way for potential clients to figure out which of your offers suits them, or even just a fun little engagement tool in a membership.
It’ll help to have a draft of your questions and results ready before the workshop, since we’ll be spending our time on the build, not content creation. You’ll get guidance and a template to follow when you sign up. (Hint: if you're feeling stuck, it's totally fine to ask ChatGPT or Claude to help with the writing!) Also, don't think the quiz content needs to be perfectly finalized. The goal for the workshop is getting something live on your website. You can always change the exact wording later.
You’ll have the replay and the Quiz Build Kit to work through on your own, so you can still build your quiz if the date doesn’t work for you.
If having something on the calendar helps you follow through, though, it’s worth making time for the live session. You’ll have two hours set aside for this project, with me guiding you through each stage toward getting it published. That can help a project you’ve been meaning to get to finally happen.
If you bought the kit and haven’t had a chance to work through it yet, this is a good opportunity to set aside the time and get your quiz live. We’ll work through it together, with me leading each stage and helping if you get stuck.
That said, there's no "super secret" material in the workshop that's not in the build kit. So if you’re happy working through the kit on your own, yay! Just follow the instructions and you'll have a quiz live on your website before you know it.
Set aside a couple of hours, bring your curiosity, and we’ll work through the build together.
